Our Sailor’s Waxed Canvas Ditty Bag
Fall 2026 Canvas Bags
A sailor’s best friend.
Originally made and used by sailors from scrap sailcloth and remnants of rope, a ditty bag was the only way sailors could carry their belongings from ship to shore. Onboard vessels, space is at a premium, so sailors had to carefully pack only the essential clothing, tools, small trinkets or letters from loved ones.
Our sailor's ditty bag is a reinforced waxed-canvas synch top bag made with durable 10.10oz duck canvas. Made by hand in Salem, Massachusetts.
A tote to rule them all.
The tote bag is believed to have been invented in Maine in the 1940’s as a way to carry ice. Since waxed canvas is durable and water resistant, it was the perfect fabric to lug loads of ice from the truck to the freezer.
Our waxed canvas tote bags are reinforced with two layers of 10.10oz duck canvas and 2-inch wide heavy cotton straps. Made by hand in Salem, Massachusetts.
Heritage style equipment for the modern explorer. Our history of handmade quality dates back to 1884 with six generations of Italian merchants & craftsmen.

Some tools earn their place through novelty. Others simply refuse to become obsolete.
The Anchor Pocket Knife traces its origins to the working decks of 19th-century sailing ships, where the sheepsfoot blade became a trusted companion for cutting rope, sailcloth, and countless everyday tasks. More than a century later, its purpose remains largely unchanged; a dependable pocket knife built for work rather than display.
Each knife is handcrafted in Solingen, Germany, a city renowned for fine blades since the Middle Ages. Otter-Messer has continued this tradition since 1840, finishing every knife by hand using methods refined across generations of German craftsmanship.

Not every piece of outdoor equipment has to work the hardest.
These socks are made with 92% Mongolian merino wool, giving them an extraordinary softness and warmth that's difficult to match with more technical blends. That same high wool content means they'll naturally wear faster under constant heavy hiking than socks built with larger amounts of synthetic reinforcement.
Think of these as the socks you reach for once the tent is pitched, the stove is on, and the boots come off. The ones that warm your feet after a day in the mountains. The ones you pull on for a quiet morning at anchor. The ones that make a cold cabin feel just a little more like home.

Zippo Armor® High Polish Brass Lighter

From lighting camp stoves and lanterns to starting an evening fire after a day on the trail, it's become one of the most recognizable and dependable pieces of everyday equipment ever made.
The Armor® edition elevates that legacy with a case that's approximately 1.5 times thicker than a standard Zippo, giving it a reassuring weight in the hand and exceptional durability. Like every genuine Zippo, it's refillable, repairable, and backed by Zippo's famous lifetime guarantee.
